I would learn, but I don't like making animated things. I stick to still sigs and avys still, always have, always will. Maybe ask around at G4 for some help.

I can help you out. I use Gimpshop though...idk if its different in GIMP. Probably not. First of all, open the layers in the order you want them to occur. Then go to Filter > Animation > Optimize for GIF Then you can edit how long each frame will occur by editing the name of the layer. Like this: Layer (100ms) Just edit whats in the ( ) if needed. You can view the animation through Filter > Animation > Playback Be sure to save as an animation and not as a flattened gif image.

If this helps: Open the pic You'd like to animate,then open the other pictures/layer and just save the pic in .gif and set the time period how fast the animation will be... I made lots of userbars with this...I used 1200/frame (or 1200/layer... )
